Georgia Weithe
Georgia Weithe's sterling silver jewelry and
small pewter boxes are a reflection of her love
of nature. Her organic designs
reproduce the elements of nature which
she sees outside the windows of her
rural Spring Green studio and home.
The following comments are taken from
Georgia's page on the Wholesale Crafts
Dot Com web site: "For a long
time, I have had the dream of starting a
jewelry business, but something always
came first - raising children, earning a
reliable income as a teacher,
educational video producer, consultant
and writer. Now the time has come
to put the metalwork at the top of the
agenda - and it is the realization of a
dream deferred. Over the years I
never stopped making jewelry and
learning new techniques. I took my
first jewelry classes when I was in
college and then moved to Germany, where
I exhibited and studied for 2 1/2 years
with master goldsmith, Lutz Quambusch.
My current studio is a cabin in the
woods of rural Wisconsin. My
pieces are a reflection of the
inspiration I find within and the beauty
that surrounds me. The designs
come from a deep place within me and I
hope to touch a corresponding deep place
in others."
