Nancy Monsebroten
"Leaf vessels, a recent series of hand
built, one-of-a-kind porcelain pieces
began to emerge late in the Wisconsin
winter. I found myself yearning
for springtime with its budding leaves,
burgeoning shoots and long awaited
renewal. I hope my work conveys a
whisper of the deep respect and a bowing
down to the earth as I have experienced
it." An independent studio potter
and teacher, Nancy Monsebroten has
exhibited her work and received awards
internationally. Selected awards
include participation in "The Fletcher
Brownbelt Pottery Award", Auckland, New
Zealand; and honors in ceramics in the
"Women in Design International Honors in
Ceramics, San Francisco." She has
had a feature article published in
Ceramics Monthly and American
Craft Magazine. Various
collections include the Auckland War
Memorial Museum, The Danish Institute in
Copenhagen, American Standard Company,
the Department of Foreign Affairs in
Seoul, South Korea and Piper, Jaffrey
and Hopwood.
